Mr.Supachai Kitchabundit Reverse engineering experts. A study on the traditional cooled drying process for refined sugar. The system uses either refrigerant compressor or adsorption chiller system. These systems have high power consumption. Poor performance, difficult to maintenance and varied by high outdoor weather conditions. When using reverse engineering knowledge, systems can be developed desiccant rotor with energy exchanger equipment which can reduce outside air temperature at 35C, moisture content 21.7g/kg to dry and cold as air temperature 23C-28C, moisture content 7g/kg – 14g/kg.
This system used only general water to cool and use steam to dehumidify. This system does not have refrigerant compressor. Consuming less energy, High performance, Easy to maintenance and stable by climate outdoor weather conditions.
From the actual installation to cooled dry refined sugar. Two units that can supply dry cooled air each volume 50,000 cubic meter per hour. Reduced energy consumption from traditional systems to 9 million baht per year. And better quality of sugar from the humidity in range of 0.02%-0.03% reduce to range of 0.01%-0.02%. It confirmed that the new system named “Desiccant Hybrid Cooling System” high efficiency helps to reduce production costs and increase refined sugar quality.
